High standard of excellence

MLM have been excellent at focussing our needs and making our lives easier with their approach to management of our asset. Open and transparent

MLM handle the collection, disbursement, management and accounting of Service Charge funds well and MLM publishes the agreed service charge budget and the service charge accounts to all Members on an annual basis and take the trouble to explain the major items to resident/owners in a manner that is understandable to the “ Lay person”. They operate in a very open and transparent manner , for example hosting members of the residents committee to MLM’s head office to meet finance personnel and show how the budget and accounts are put together and the operational and control environment around financial matters. They have also shown that they are constantly looking forward in their management of the site , through encouragement of an adequate sinking fund, getting the residents to consider future requirements e.g. boiler replacement etc.

I always describe MLM as a family to candidates, because that’s exactly what they are. It’s very clear they value their staff and reward hard work, encouraging them to work as one team. Exceeded the requirements

MLM has consistently performed well and often exceeded the requirements in many areas of the audit and in particular the environmental management area of the audit. In the most recent audit, July 2017, MLM achieved and overall rating of ‘Good’ with a score of 84%, with a score of 96% in Health and Safety Management and with a score of 92% in the area of Environmental Management, which includes questions in the areas of waste reduction, recycling, energy and water usage, monitoring and reduction. Overall, the health, safety and environmental management of MLM is of a particularly high standard and the leadership of the organisation indicates their commitment to high standards of health, safety and environmental management.

Safety is at the top of their agenda

4site have had the pleasure of working with MLM as their health, safety and fire consultancy service for a number of years. As part of our service and at MLMs request we provide regular technical support sessions and training for property managers. What is clear is how seriously MLM take health and safety, and the professionalism all staff show when handling health and safety issues arising in their blocks. It is often an overused phrase to say that safety is a company’s top priority, but MLM certainly make it their business to ensure that safety is at the top of their agenda. I have personally delivered health, safety and fire training at MLM and was struck by the enthusiasm, interest and diligence demonstrated by staff, a clear indication of the positive health and safety culture embedded within this forward-looking property management company.
